Founded in 1996 Mumbles Lifeguard Club is one of the largest and most successful lifeguard clubs in Wales.  The club offers the full range of lifeguard qualifications but also gives young children the confidence they require to swim and enjoy the seaside. It is a fantastic way of making friends, gaining lifesaving qualifications, keeping fit  and is lots of fun.

In the summer we train in Caswell beach, the  bay is an ideal place for training as the beach offers a large sandy shore when out and the perfect sea conditons to learn a variety of skills. The bay is easy to find and it takes about five minutes to get there via car from Mumbles.  

COVID19 and a thankyou to our members

We at Mumbles SLSC are privileged to be enriched with coaches, members and parents past and present who work for the NHS from doctors to domestic staff whilst not forgetting our community carers.  We can’t thank you enough for your selflessness, commitment and dedication in this very difficult time putting your own safety aside for the health and safety of others.  You signed up to care, but nobody could have envisaged this scenario.   

Also a big shout out to our other keys workers from Supermarket workers, Police & Fire Staff to Council Staff.  

A big thank you from the bottom of our hearts to you all.
