Membership Details

Mumbles Lifeguard Club currently has over 300 members making it one of the largest clubs in Wales. The club offers four types of membership:

  1. Individual

  2. Family

  3. Associate

  4. Country

The cost includes all Club fees, SLSA fees, pool and beach fees.

Cheques should be made payable to Mumbles Lifeguard Club.

Prior to starting the at the club all children (Nippers) are required to complete a pool test.

SLSA Childrens Code of Conduct

  • Listen and obey the directions of the coaches

  • Enjoy yourself

  • Work hard at learning new skills and becoming better at old ones

  • Co-operate with the coach and other children

  • Be a good sport

  • Congratulate others

  • Look after all equipment that you may use

  • Be a good club member and attend training sessions

  • Abide by nipper membership rules

  • Never enter the water without permission

  • Help keep your clubhouse and beach clean

  • Do not be afraid to tell someone if you are being bullied

  • Never wander off on your own

  • If you are feeling ill tell a parent or your coach

  • Have fun and enjoy surf lifesaving

SLSA Parents Code of Conduct

  • If your child is interested encourage them to take part and attend at the correct times

  • Do not take carnivals and events to seriously

  • Whatever position your child finishes in, praise them

  • Nipper's stands for children having fun, its fun, educational training which teaches your child life skills

  • Winning is about doing your best not about first place

  • Encourage your child to follow the directions of the coach

  • Recognise the importance of your volunteer coaches, they deserve your support

  • Remember all children learn at different speeds and that they look to you to set a good example for them to follow

  • Help out the coach whenever possible

  • Teach your children to look after club equipment

  • make sure your child is protected from the elements, sun-cream, hat, wet-suits, warm clothing are essential during some of the competitions

  • Please ensure you collect your children at the correct time

  • Children love you watching their progress

  • Support your child

  • Please do not pressure them and they will learn more and have much more fun`
